• Operated as the lead background artist, delegating assignments and providing feedback to the other four background artists.

• Oversaw both the BG Design & Paint teams, monitoring the production schedules to ensure progress was consistent and deadlines were met.

FREELANCE BACKGROUND ARTIST @ SKOBELOFF FOREST (Animated Pilot)

August 2024 - Current

• Use references provided by show runner to help establish the visual style of this animated pilot.

• Provide both 2D Background Layout and Color.

FREELANCE BACKGROUND PAINTER @ THEODD1SOUT (YouTube Series)

• Coordinate with Background Leads to create painted backgrounds that match the style of the show.

• In addition to painting backgrounds, I’ve also provided linework for several layouts which I later painted.

FULL-TIME BACKGROUND PAINTER @ STARBURNS IND. (Unannounced Animated Pitch/Pilot)

• Helped to establish the paint style of the series by using references provided by the Art Director.

• In addition to painting backgrounds, I also provided several Color Styling options for various layouts in the animated pitch and, later, the pilot.

• Carried over the watercolor style of the original series and feature film backgrounds to the new reboot series.

• In addition to painting backgrounds, I provided color work for several props using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Animator and created the color keys for two separate locations.

• Created digitally-painted backgrounds in the traditional watercolor style of the original series.

• Attended weekly Dailies meetings and applied notes from Art Director and Show Runners to enhance the look of each painting.

• Used Color Script provided for each episode to create unique and striking backgrounds that fit the mood of various scenes while remaining cohesive with the style of the show.
